a(x - b) - 2k = l
ax - ab - 2k = l
Subtract ax, add ab to both sides
- 2k = l - ax + ab
Divide by - 2 to isolate variable K
k = (l - ax + ab) / - 2 or [tex]k = \frac{l - ax + ab}{-2} [/tex]
